Hi everyone!
I'll do another post that wraps up the adventure of the Kickstarter (to shipping it out!) in another post. Right now, I'll cover the main details in the wrap-up survey that I wanted to clarify. :) The survey covers a number of topics, but some of the questions need a little more explanation into why we're seeking clarity/feedback from everyone.
  1. We ideally want the next calendar all genre. I had to narrow our the genre this year, to make the project feasible (so hard to narrow it down to 12-18 guys out of hundreds/thousands of cosplayer, as it is!), so Allen and I settled on one of our more familiar cosplay genres - video games! I felt bad discounting amazing costumes that weren't video game themed. But, this is up to you! If more folks want a pure theme, like all comics, we will lean towards what would be most feasible to fund again.
  2. We want to involve more cosplayers. I spoke to our printer, and we COULD do a one-a-day (365 day) calendar instead of a 12 or 18 month wall calendar. That would allow us to fit 365 guys in, which would be incredible! It would be one of those smaller tear-away ones.
  3. If we do a 365 day calendar, we cannot provide a free calendar to those involved. This year, we provided free calendars to cosplayers/photographers involved. With a 365 day calendar, it simply would not possible to send it a copy out to that many people. So, we CAN add a ton more guys, but they would need to buy their own calendars (ideally for a discounted price).
  4. 12-18 month calendar options. If we do a standard 12-18 month like our current one was, we'd like to do 2 of them- a heroes and villains edition, so you have more options and we can still recruit more cosplayers.
  5. Volunteering! If you want to help us out and have some ideas, let me know. :) We have a Facebook discussion group here.

That's pretty much it! :) There are a few other questions, but these were the points I wanted to clarify. We learned a ton from this run, and have ideas for the future, but we want to see if the community is feeling the same or has ideas for the next run.
